Kindergarten Spanish – Large Pyramids – Barreneche

Item No. 1012

Description:
One of the most influential and well-known artists of all time is Pablo Picasso. The Spanish-born artist and sculptor is known as the father of Cubism and the inventor of collage. His revolutionary style depicted subjects broken down into distinct geometric planes and reassembled into abstracted forms. Most importantly, Picasso taught the world to see things differently and challenge the norms. He was also very wise, once stating a quote that perfectly captures the spirit of our classroom project: “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.” Our class created an abstract artwork composed of geometric pyramids they designed and constructed, combining their unique perspectives into one beautiful and unified piece—exemplifying the beauty and harmony found in diversity.
