Item No. 921
The "Obliteration Ottoman" was created by the students in Ms. Lambiotte's homeroom. The students took their inspiration from the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. They started with a completely white fabric surface and used a combination of fabric markers and fabric paint dotters to obliterate the seat cushion with an array of colorful dots. The structure of the ottoman was created from a tire which was wrapped in jute rope. The cushioned cover of the ottoman can be removed for convenient storage. The students enjoyed several activities about recycling as they repurposed items into this beautiful piece of furniture.
